British drivers’ embrace of Chinese cars is gaining strength, with the Jaecoo 7 regaining its spot as the U.K.’s best-selling new car.

The model, dubbed the “Temu Range Rover,” outsold rivals such as the Ford Puma and Kia Sportage in September with more than 10,800 units registered, according to data published Oct. 2 by the SMMT industry body.

The Chinese brand took a 4.3 percent share last month when including other models like the Jaecoo 8 that went on sale this year. The Jaecoo 7, which comes as a combustion-engine car or plug-in hybrid, first took the top spot in March but had been overtaken by rivals until September.
